Unboxing and verification
Before connecting your Trezor, check that the holographic seal on the packaging is intact. This ensures your device has not been tampered with. Inside, you’ll find the Trezor, a USB cable, and recovery seed cards.
Connecting to your computer
Plug in the Trezor using the provided USB cable. The screen will display a welcome message and prompt you to visit the start page. Only proceed through verified official software to avoid counterfeit installers.
Initializing and securing
During initialization, the device will generate your recovery seed — a list of 12, 18, or 24 words. Write these down carefully on paper. Never share or store them digitally. Create a PIN immediately afterward to secure the device from unauthorized use.
Managing crypto safely
After setup, you can use Trezor Suite to send, receive, and monitor cryptocurrencies. Always confirm recipient addresses and transaction details on the device display. This ensures end-to-end integrity between your wallet and the blockchain.
Next steps
Explore security options like hidden wallets, passphrases, and firmware update reminders. Using your device regularly builds confidence and familiarity, helping you maintain control over your crypto for years to come.
Once you complete your setup, your Trezor becomes your personal, offline bank vault — designed to protect digital assets from hackers and malware.
